The fourth and final Dead Rising 2 Skills Pack has arrived, bringing a range of deadly ninja perks for Chuck with the Ninja Skills Pack, which not only grants him a cool ninja costume best worn with a katana blade, but also comes with some useful new moves and upgrades.

With the Ninja Skills Pack, Chuck will be able to evade zombies using stealth, he'll be harder to grab and will be able to deal even more lethal sword attacks with any of Dead Rising 2's blades, such as broadswords and katanas.

Finally, Chuck's throwing speed and power is faster and deadlier than before, enabling him to throw CDs, plates, nails and other throwable objects farther and do more damage with them, like they were shuriken stars. The Ninja Skills Pack is available from the Xbox Live Marketplace now for 160 Microsoft Points.

  • I feel ripped off that the pre-order incentive I was happy to receive isn't exclusive.
  • I'm never sure if I approve of them selling content that they were giving away free a few weeks ago :
  • @2 160 Microsoft points is free.
  • @1 I know what you mean, but its a double edged ninja sword really, you would probably feel even more ripped off if you didn't pre order it and couldn't get your hands on these tbh. @topic I will pick these up when I finally get round to getting the game. hopefully next week! :)
  • MAI BOIIII. THIS NINJA STEALTH PACK IS WHAT ALL TRUE WARRIORS BUY IN THE MORNING
  • Gone are the days of unlockable costumes. :(
  • Someone should try to beat the game without killing a zombie
  • Can i use the Ninja costume in single player or what? i hope i can use it in single player then i may consider buying Dead Rising 2.
  • @8 it is only for single player any wayz
  • i got all these packs for free on the marketplace before the game came out. at least ill already have them when i finally get the game :p
  • @10 you didn't get it for free you got the free package which allows you to only play with other people that has it, you yourself don't actually get it.
  • @10 i think you should read the description of the download it only lets you play co op with those that brought the costumes :p
  • @2 & @10 Weren't the free packs released via the Marketplace before the release of the game simply add-ons that allowed you to play co-op with someone who had one of the "exclusive" costumes that you didn't have? I see a couple of people on here saying that they got them for free before the game came out, or vaguely up-in-arms that Microsoft/Capcom have decided to "start" charging for initially free items. I could be wrong, but I could have sworn those free packs I downloaded were only for the reason I initially mentioned.
  • @7 Thats a true skill right there...
  • @ 10 - Yeah enjoy that absolute nothing you downloaded. Had you used your literary skills, you would have figured out that you only downloaded the ability to PLAY with people who have the outfits. Because Capcom just gives out Free DLC before the game drops. This would be the only other pack I'd get but I honestly have too much fun with my Psycho pack and my buddy already has the Ninja pack.
  • @1 Really? I feel justified knowing everyone else has to pay for it. Seriously, why do people HATE getting free stuff?
  • Has anybody got a definitive answer as to how many pieces of each costume you have to wear in order to get all of it's benefits? I'm hearing that if you just wear the ninja shoes that you get them all, but I have no clue and I couldn't get any of the Psycho stuff to work, even when I had them all on.
  • ...does anyone else think that the trailer's really lame? Or are we too caught up in this free DLC discussion?
  • @ 17 I wear the sports fan helmet, the psycho mask, the soldier fatigues and the ninja shoes, which seem to give all the benefits.
  • Awesome. Now they should release all 4 for in a nice bundle. Something along the lines buy 3 get 4th one free^^
  • @16 I love free stuff. What I love more though, is free stuff that nobody else can have even if they pay for it =D
  • Dead rising is epic but pass to this :L
  • I can't believe nobody has caught on that Exclusive usually means "to a system/console" and usually for a limited time as "exclusive". The only real exclusives are actual physical preorder bonuses such as the MW2 NVG's, the AvP Facehugger and so on. DLC as an incentive WILL get released within 3-6 motnhs time of the "exclusive offer". Most of the time, it's a preorder bonus which means you didn't pay extra, you're just getting early hands-on time with it. I like free stuff as well but free usually comes at some sort of price or with a "but" attatched.
  • darn it, when is case west coming out??
  • why the hell couldn't this be something you EARN in the game by playing it I hate this kind of DLC
  • I think it would have been cool if they released some weapons in the safe house associated with each outfit for example with the Ninja outfit you can get a Katana and for a throwing weapon you get some Shurikens (throwing stars) and for the Soldier outfit you get an assault rifle (or any other gun) and for a throwing weapon the soldier can get grenades from the safe house.
  • @5 I WONDER WHAT'S FOR DINNER..
  • This is definitely awesome... people that were fortunate enough to pre-order the game got a delicious treat that no one else could get... now... after the game being out for a little while... those packs can now be enjoyed by everyone for a small fee... fair i say!
  • @2. not free = free? Man, corporations love dummies like you.
  • @23 What are you talking about? You think the MW2 NVG is a preorder bonus?
  • @ 30 - Obviously not if you read my post, I said the NVGs are an Exclusive (Exclusive typically means not with other things or not including other things) item relegated to Limited/Collectors edition. It's an incentive, i.e. an extra reason to go out for said game. I know exactly what preordering is. What I said about preorders is that those exclusives (bonuses - extra costumes/weapons/maps/etc) never stay exclusive. They're always released within 3+ months for the public at a price.
