Balls of steel nice, Gotta love the time and effort put into these LE's nowadays bet its about £70 though.........Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:00 AM
the Chips, dice and Cards are for one sole purpose. ALWAYS BET ON DOUKFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:02 AM
Fallout:NV had the chips and the cards and comic Fable3 had the cards and a coin The Duke goes to the top! ards Dice chips comic postcards etc and a Dukehead xD cant help but think the stuff in the box is also a bit of a dig at other companys collector editions of games.. but that could just be me?Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:03 AM
I'm a sucker for Limited Edition, I will be getting!!Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:04 AM
Looks sweet, but knowing that it's a LE, it'll surely be around $129.99. In that case, I'll wait until it drops to about $79.99 at Gamestop later this year.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:10 AM
@9 Your probably right but maybe just maybe it will only be $100 or less likely less money but maybe we are both wrong and the price might be $150because of all the goodies they are putting into this box and if that's the case then i will most likely just get the game 'cause as cool as a bust of Duke Nukem is I don't think its $150 cool.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:11 AM
where can this be pre ordered fromFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:16 AM
balls of steel was one of my favourite shows militant black guy was so funnyFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:21 AM
No in game content? Well, aside from Halo 3's Legendary Edition, this will be the first limited/collectors edition pack that I get that doesnt have exclusive in game content. Its a Duke Nukem game, I'd be willing to pay 200 bucks for this.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:21 AM
can't wait to go to the local gamestop to preorder this "balls of steel"Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:28 AM
depending on the price i may give this a look...gotta pay for DA2 and MK first though. Having said that, this looks great even without in-game contentFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:29 AM
Oh man. I love the fact that the bust says "Carpe Nukem." Seize the Nukem. Awesome. I don't see myself buying this package, but it is pretty stellar anyway.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:34 AM
No thank you. This is way too generic. Harldy sounds like a collector's edition and I bet they will pop up all over ebay soon enough. Good effort, lame execution.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:35 AM
This collectors edition is sorely lacking in steel balls. They should come in a aged leather pouch tied with cat gut string and the balls themselves should have a certain amount of heft.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:36 AM
looks like a garage sale from a D&D geek. +4 to Fail...LAMEOFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:37 AM
Sold!Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:38 AM
Looks sick..under 100$ I'm in..otherwise I'll have to pass with the list of games I wantFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:01 AM
Where's the line?Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:08 AM
Wow, that looks impressive! I wonder how much extra it will cost.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:09 AM
Foldable paper craft? Definitely getting this addition now ;PFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:21 AM
This is going to be 99.99, Here's the link, http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/67484Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:23 AM
Wow, that's a lot of crap I don't need filling up my house. And no in-game content? I'll just get the regular edition. My balls are just fine, thank you.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:24 AM
If I put 17 cents in the bank when it was announced I'd have plenty of money in interest by now.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:27 AM
0_o Must... have... Balls of Steel... I'm gonna love going to EB/Gamestop and saying "I'd like to pre-order Duke Nukem Forever: Balls of Steel Edition". XDXDFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:29 AM
That's a pretty epic special edition. Wonder how much.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:35 AM
well based on the prices that other special editions have retailed for (halo & CoD) this will probably be about £100 ($130-150) looks nice, but i don't do special editions anymore, not when i can get 5 normal ones for a similar price about time this game came out, and after the rather long wait, it better be fucking good, not that these guys have been working on it that long, it wasnt that long ago that we found out 3d realms had been sat there playing with themselves for nearly 15 years will pick up regular version at some point later this year, other games im more interested in for the next few months (deathsmiles, raiden fighters aces & EDF:IA)Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:54 AM
i realy didn't think it was possible for me to be more excited about new Duke but apparently i can :DFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 10:00 AM
Man, I really want this. But an extra $who-knows-how-much for this? I guess I'll stick with just the game...Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 10:10 AM
Even though I won't be getting this edition, i gotta say it looks amazing.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 10:11 AM
At everyone guessing how much it will be it's 99.99Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 10:19 AM
@30 Blah blah.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 10:20 AM
IT DOESN'T EXPLICITLY SAY THAT IT INCLUDES THE STANDARD COPY OF THE GAME! OH NOEZ!!! XD Think of all the people that will pass on this simply because the developer foolishly left out that vital piece of info. Tut tut.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 10:44 AM
where is the ingame content or the steel balls that would give this edition its name i dont really want to get this if its just a bunch of crap with duke on it if it came with a cool gun or something in game i might consider it but theres no reason right now to get it with the lack of cool stuff "besides the bust" and even that would just take up space so cant say this is a buy though i like the name.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 11:20 AM
it should come with Duke Nukem 3D for xboxFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 11:56 AM
When will companies learn???? No collectable steel case for the game = lame collectors edition :(. I will stick to the standard edition. This goes for u 2 mortal kombatFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 11:57 AM
I need this in my life!! What sucks? I just called my job (GameStop), and it's not in our systems to reserve just yet. Sad face.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 12:06 PM
This better be available at all stores in the UK !!!!!!!!Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 12:25 PM
My room's needed a statue and/or bust of Duke Nukem since 1991. Yeah, this needs to be procured, post haste.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 12:49 PM
The Balls of Steel Edition is listed on Gamestops website for 99.99 US. I just went over to the Gmaestop store and the guy working there told me that since it was just confirmed that it could take 24 to 48 hours befor it hits there system for preorder. But you can order right now off of the website.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 01:52 PM
@13 You or your mommy?Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 02:01 PM
damn that is bad ass! btw what is with the deck of cards and poker chips now coming with pretty much all collector's editions?Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 02:06 PM
Major Nelson just confirmed it is $99 and available for pre-order at Amazon as well. This looks great! The only thing missing is the bubble gum.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 02:30 PM
Price?Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 02:44 PM
I will be honest. I have never owned a Duke Nukem game(have only played one once when I rented it a LONG time ago). So naturally, I was one of the few people not really interested when Duken Nukem Forever was re-announced last year, nor was I blown away from the gameplay I've seen, so I was one of the people who was not nor ever planning on buying this game. But once I saw this Collector's edition, I immediately pre-ordered. I don't know what it is about the Collector's Edition that really makes me want to buy it, but now I'm gonna be a Duke Nukem gamer come May!Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 02:48 PM
its the duke you gotta buy this edition if your a fan lolFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 03:02 PM
i want, i will get! this is freaking awesome!!Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 03:04 PM
Looks awesome, but I'm saving my money and waiting for the Gears LE (if there's going to be one).Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 03:25 PM
@ 36 - Anyone who's stupid enough to think a L/C Edition would NOT come with a copy of the game in any form - standard/special/limited/collectors should proceed with instant castration in that they never breed such stupidity again. What shmo really thinks there wouldn't be a disc?Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 03:28 PM
@ 48 - They have Duke Nuke'em 3D on the XBLA. It was the first game I played and I loved it. It's such a tongue in cheek spin on Doom or Wolfenstein. And the horrid graphics only make giving a wad of $100 bills to strippers with nipples so graphically bad, they look like booby tassles. Do check it out sir.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 04:23 PM
@47 90£Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 04:50 PM
#52, because they are messing with us, there is no game. They aren't actually making it.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 05:35 PM
I might pick up the CE if the price isn't to high!Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 05:39 PM
$99 price tag. At least that's what I've seen. It's a fencer for me. I may pre-order it, then if a demo drops (not likely), that'll dictate if I get it or not.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 06:34 PM
Want. Want so much. Will miss out on it though since I'm in England at the moment.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 08:39 PM
You had me at certificate of authenticity. I want complete and utter proof that the game is actually finished and not some delusional dream of mine.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 09:02 PM
April 1, 2011: They finally reveal that there really is no Duke Nukem ForeverFriday, February 11, 2011 @ 11:23 PM
I lol'd at the trailer. The USA flag 360 controller was hilarious.Friday, February 11, 2011 @ 11:26 PM
At 99.99 or a little over 100 with tax, I will be picking up the Duke Nukem Balls of Steel Edition. At this price, at least it's better than the Assassins Creed: Brotherhood Harlequin Jack-in-the-Box Edition. Heck, it has better contents than any of the Assassins Creed Collector's Edition's that Ubisoft gives out to North America.Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ 07:25 AM
Regular edition is fine with me. I stopped wasting money on these special editions a longtime ago.Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ 07:38 AM
Meh....poo on this. When I get the game, just gonna stick with regular. As said earlier, getting tired of decks of cards and chips with LE's...at least with Fallout it made sense being Vegas and such.Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ 08:12 AM
alll you people complaining about the chips in stuff, im pretty sure it is gearbox making fun of the other special editions out there.Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ 01:57 PM
$100? Might be a bit too steep for me Although that bust would look sweet in my roomSaturday, February 12, 2011 @ 05:33 PM
Wow, only 13 years in development and that's all you get??Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ 10:24 PM
WHY DOES EVERY COLLECTORS EDITION COME WITH A DECK OF CARDS AND POKER CHIPS NOW!? Its not even cool! You know what would go really good with a game thats all about your rise to power and your interaction with people as king? If you guessed DECK OF CARDS youre absolutely right! Does a deck of cards sound like a super lame addition to a game about a 90's action star parody shooting aliens? Your right! Thats why we added DICE! Ok now Fallout New Vegas I can see but now everyones doing it. COMING SOON: Portal 2 The Cake is a Lie Edition with exclusive CAKE DECORATIVE TIN that opens to reveal POKER CHIPS! Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim The Skys The Limited Edition with exclusive DLC for a suit of armor that makes you fly and turns you invisible! But who wants that shit when you can get a DECK OF CARDS?Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ 10:53 PM
It`s too bad this game is going to suck...Sunday, February 13, 2011 @ 08:54 AM
finally!!Monday, February 14, 2011 @ 11:35 AM
@ 55 - I'll assume that whatever bright answer you could've put ended up with the rest of you that dripped down mother's leg on the night of insertion. See that thing coming out of the right side of the middle box above the dice? That's a game disc genius.Monday, February 14, 2011 @ 11:46 AM
This is an automatic buy especially with the name.Tuesday, February 15, 2011 @ 05:44 AM
dayum, havent played Duke Nukem in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time, but this Balls of Steel Edition looks interesting, I like the idea of the bust too. but the thing that puts me off with the game is the box art.Ill have to look into this abit more though. Last Duke'em I played was Land of the Babes about 6 years ago so my memory is a little flat. Might pick it up if I can find a cheap copy of the game.Tuesday, February 15, 2011 @ 01:28 PM

How big is the collectible bust?
Friday, February 11, 2011
Following today's leaked image of the Duke Nukem Forever Balls of Steel Edition, 2K Games and Gearbox Software have now officially confirmed that the limited collector's edition is real and will indeed be releasing alongside the standard version of DNF in May, with a host of highly desirable bonus goods.
Among these items is a big, collectible bust of Duke himself, with 'Carpe Nukem' carved across the base. There's a whole stack of other items in the box too. Check out the official list of Balls of Steel Edition contents:
It seems we missed out the 'foldable paper craft' in our own description of the collector's edition, but we got everything else pretty much spot on. Look again at an image of the Duke Nukem Forever Balls of Steel Edition, set to launch with the standard edition on May 3rd in North America and May 6th in the UK and Europe.
