I can hardly believe that EDF made it to number 3! That is really good news. It seems that EDF 2017 didn't sell exceptionally well, so this is quite a result for D3. It is always great to see "under-dog" games like this doing well. Really fun game too! EDF! EDF! :)Monday, July 25, 2011 @ 05:44 AM

@24 It is kind of true. Whenever I go to Europe and people ask where I am from and I say I am Canadian they are always say good that your not American. Even though I am also American as well:).

Despite peoples' misgivings about dragging the Call of Juarez series kicking and screaming into a modern day setting, the third instalment, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, set amid drug wars in Los Angeles, has shot straight to the top of the charts in its first week, which just goes to show you can't keep a good cowboy down.
The same goes for insect killers too it seems, as Earth Defence Force: Insect Armageddon debuts at number 3 in the charts this week, offering the perfect excuse to go and exterminate some giant ants and destroy a city while you're at it.
Other charts highlights this week include big moves for Dungeon Siege III, Harry Potter and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, which all enjoy a nice ride up the charts, while the departure of both FEAR 3 and Mortal Kombat from the top 20 mark a low week for Warner Bros. Interactive. Meanwhile, Duke Nukem cheats death at the bottom of the charts, while Halo: Reach makes a top 20 comeback and LA Noire starts to slip into the bottom half for the first time since its launch.
