THQ Nordic has showcased new combat gameplay from Outcast: A New Beginning, the Outcast sequel to the 1999 cult classic that's lost its ‘2’, for some reason.

Combining dynamic combat and strategy, Outcast: A New Beginning enables you to modify your weapons on the fly, wield powerful gadgets and ancient abilities, and tame local wildlife to help drive back invaders.

In all, there are over 30 different weapon modules to experiment with, with various combinations to try out in your six weapon slots. In total, there's more than 9,000 possible weapon module combos to play with. You'll also have a shield, an upgradable jetpack, and a range of Talan Powers like anti-gravity and flying bomb-dropping creatures.

Playing as ex-Navy SEAL Cutter Slade, Outcast: A New Beginning will feature open world action when it launches for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

  • Looks interesting and yeah odd they dropped the "2".

I wonder what the starting price point is though.
