Transformers: Reactivate, Brink, and Gears Tactics developer Splash Damage has announced that it's developing a new IP codenamed ‘Project Astrid’. Being created in collaboration with streamers Sacriel and Shroud, the game is a “AAA open-world survival game”, with the two content creators serving as “core members” of the development team.
“Sacriel and Shroud are core members of our development team, bringing with them a unique and fresh perspective,” said Creative Director Lance Winter. “Not only that, but they’re providing us brand new insights into what fans and creators actually want from their gaming experiences. No one knows this genre better than they do.”
Splash Damage has a team of 450 in South London working on both Project Astrid and Transformers: Reactivate, expanding its operation by acquiring UK-based Bulkhead and establishing its own in-house publishing team. Project Astrid is in pre-production, with more details, including platforms, to be revealed at a later date.
I like the team these men have put together. They also inspire confidence in what they are creating, so to speak. I hope this new game comes up to be great when it finally realeases. Best of wishes you guys!
