Kalypso Media and developer The Dust have announced that The Inquisitor, the dark fantasy adventure in which you play as the eponymous asker of questions, Mordimer Madderdin, will be launching in February 2024.
A developer diary offering a behind the scenes look at actor Jamie Maclachlan recording lines for the voice of Mordimer has also been released, featuring a brief look at some gameplay. In the video, the actor talks about his performance and the character, who makes moral choices with an alternate-history version of the 1500s.
In this alternate world, Jesus apparently broke free of the cross and wreaked vengeance upon non-believers. As Mordimer, you'll act in service of the ‘Church of Christ Vengeful’, exacting judgement upon the unbelieving masses. Expect investigative elements, action, and puzzle mechanics.
The Inquisitor will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on 8th February 2024.
